MBA with Specialisation
This programme is delivered by Imperial College of Business Studies, in Colombo and Kandy. It is validated by Queen Margaret University. Through our rigorous quality assurance procedures we ensure that the programme has the same academic standards as equivalent awards delivered by QMU.
The MBA programme aims to ensure knowledge, skills and innovation to develop and grow a new or existing business. Successful completion of the programme allows the students to appreciate their knowledge while engaging in practical skills by enhancing essential competencies as decision-making, team work, leadership skills, business potential, negotiation skills, communication and presentation skills to develop unique business leaders.
It further aims to cover knowledge in a full range of business process, skills delivery in marketing, finance, business analytics, research and operations, human resources, strategy, business innovation to ensure that any student is able to master business administration skills required to succeed globally.

Admission criteria
The standard entry criteria are:
- Undergraduate Qualifications - students who have successfully completed an undergraduate degree from a local University or UK Honours degree equivalent to SCQF level 10.
- Professional Qualifications - students who have successfully completed a professional qualification equal to the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (at SCQF level 10) with evidence of professional membership.
- CIMA Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting – students who have successfully completed CIMA Advanced Diploma are deemed to have the equivalent of RQF 6
- ACCA Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Finance - students who have successfully completed CIMA Advanced Diploma are deemed to have the equivalent of RQF 6
- Executive Diplomas awarded by State Universities in Sri Lanka - students who have successfully completed Executive Diplomas in Business Administration, Marketing or Economics and HR or any other related field awarded by state universities in Sri Lanka which satisfy the requirements of Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework for Higher Education SCQF level 10;
- Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka (CIPM) – Students who have completed the a certificate deemed to have been equivalent of RQF 6
