You can receive support from the University’s team of careers specialists for every stage of your working life. This includes one-to-one appointments, CV and application feedback, interview preparation, insight and networking events, and the online vacancy service – Student Central
- Santander Universities Employability Scheme
QMU through our partnership with Santander Universities offer a variety of paid internships with SMEs (small to medium-sized enterprises).
These internships offer our students and graduates the chance to gain invaluable experience in the workplace, to work on live projects, and put theoretical knowledge into practice. For current opportunities see careers.
- Campus Discounts
Graduates can continue to use many of the University facilities including Maggies, Starbucks and 1875 as well as receiving a special discounted rate for other areas.
LRC - You can still access the Learning Resource Centre with a discounted alumni borrower’s membership of £20 per year or £80 for life.
Sports & Fitness Centre - Take advantage of the QMU Sports & Fitness Centre long after graduation with a special discounted membership for QMU alumni of just £22.00 per month.
Conference & Events - Organising a conference or event? Receive a 20% discount on room hire here at QMU.
Postgraduate Discount - Step ahead at QMU with a postgraduate degree and you will receive a 10% discount on your course fees. See our postgraduate courses.

- Events & Reunions

- Alumni Clubs & Groups
Founded in 1914, the Queen Margaret University Association holds regular networking lunches and social events for former students and members of staff. The most popular benefit of being a member of the Association is the use of Madras Lodge, their holiday house in Gullane.
