What has been the highlight of your time at QMU so far?
I have loved getting stuck into my masters and am really enjoying it. My background is engineering which I didn’t enjoy, so studying something I am interested in makes a huge difference! Both staff and students alike have been welcoming and friendly, which really helped me to settle into life at QMU!
What is the one thing you wish you knew before coming to university at QMU? I wish I knew that QMU is a smaller university and that this is a big advantage in terms of getting more student-focused classes. I did my undergraduate in a university of 30,000 students so I wasn’t used to having such small classes, but it has made a massive difference to my learning. The staff have been so supportive and are always available to talk if there is anything I am unsure of.
What is your favourite thing about being an ambassador for QMU? I am a very social person and love meeting perspective students to help them find out the information they need before applying. It has been great getting to work with staff members and other ambassadors for different events.
