The 12th European Music Therapy Conference
‘music therapy in progress: please disturb’
8-12 June 2022
Edinburgh, United Kingdom
We warmly welcome you to the 12th European Music Therapy Conference!
This conference marks the 30th anniversary of European music therapy conferences. After the first conference in 1992 which took place in Cambridge, the European conference returns to the United Kingdom. In the span of these three decades, the music therapy profession has grown significantly, and the European conference has become a prestigious triennial event. As such, it offers a unique space for developing music therapists’ professional and disciplinary identity, knowledge and expertise internationally.
This 30th anniversary conference will offer a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the past, the present, and the future of music therapy nationally and internationally.
Held in the historic city of Edinburgh between 8-12 June 2022, the conference will follow a ‘blended’ approach offering possibilities both for face-to-face and online participation.
The conference is organised by the British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT) and hosted by Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh under the auspices of the European Music Therapy Confederation (EMTC).
The website will be updated on an ongoing basis. To keep up to date with news, you can also follow us on social media: #emtc2022
