Paramedic Science
Welcome to the Paramedic Science section of the Practice-Based Learning Support Web Site.
This programme comprises of 50% practice-based learning throughout. The Programme team, alongside the Placement team have built, and continue to build, strong relationships with the Scottish Ambulance Service, various Health and Social care organisations including NHS and non-NHS, and third sector/voluntary organisations. This allows you the opportunity to partake in practice across various settings each year of your studies whilst you progress academically. The structure of your practice-based learning includes:
- 10 weeks of placement within the Scottish Ambulance service
- 5 weeks of placement within Health and Social care settings
- Up to 15 days within third sector, voluntary or charitable organisations
On this site, you will find useful resources which will support your studies, pre-, during, and post- your practice-based learning.
