Communication and Culture
Research in this area of focus examines the intersections between communication and culture, exploring how culture in all its forms (ideas, customs, social behaviours, shared values and beliefs, and more) emerges from, circulates among, and is reformulated through public, mediated and interpersonal communication.
Through its theoretically and methodologically interdisciplinary research, this group aims to influence policy and practice, and advance knowledge in the fields of media and communication. It explores discourses pertaining to issues important to current social or political cultures, such as food communication, intercultural identity and politics, digital journalism and new media, and Covid communication.
