Aimee is a Nutritionist with experience working in health promotion, nutrition research and private healthcare, delivering one-to-one nutrition consultations. Aimee is also a Registered Associate Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition.

Aimee graduated from Queen Margaret University with a BSc in Nutrition in 2015. She then pursued a Masters in Public Health to further understand the determinants of health and health inequalities. Throughout her studies Aimee volunteered with different community projects such as cooking classes, weight loss groups and delivering healthy eating presentations at local schools.
Following her studies, Aimee’s first role was working in the NHS within the Health Promotion team before taking up a role as a Nutrition Assistant at the Rowett Institute in Aberdeen. Within this role Aimee worked on human nutrition studies, helping to design diets for numerous studies based on study protocols. Whilst working at the Rowett Institute she also undertook some teaching roles, facilitating practical cooking classes, seminars and marking assignments.
Most recently Aimee has worked as a Nutritionist in the private healthcare industry supporting patients who will, or have, undergone bariatric surgery which she continues alongside her assistant lecturer role. Aimee took up an assisting lecturing post for the BSc (Hons) Nutrition course at QMU in September 2023.
Aimee is an early career researcher, her main research consists of her Masters in Public Health research which explored factors - including dietary intake and physical activity - associated with childhood overweight and obesity using data from the ‘Growing up in Scotland’ study.
Aimee currently teaches on the BSc (Hons) Nutrition programme, delivering lectures on the following module areas:
