Council for Allied Health Professions Research (CAHPR)
The council's mission is to develop AHP research, strengthen evidence of the professions’ value and impact for enhancing service user and community care, and enable the professions to speak with one voice on research issues, thereby raising their profile and increasing their influence.
CAHPR comprises of a Strategy Committee, a Professoriate and a UK wide Regional Hub Network.

The Regional Hubs of CAHPR provide bespoke research advice and support which includes:

- Grant and fellowship applications
- Enhancing research collaborations
- Writing for publication
- Disseminating research outcomes
- Mentorship and 1:1 support
- Funding and career development opportunities
By providing excellent opportunities for networking and for collaborative clinically-based research, the CAHPR will enhance research outputs across the Allied Health Professions and facilitate translation of research findings into education and practice.

The South East Scotland Hub of the Council for Allied Health Professions Research aims to contribute to the development of research capacity and capability in the allied health professions across South East Scotland.
Currently our activities are focused on the following:
- Development of a database of the research interests and expertise of local researchers
- Identifying research activity taking place across South East Scotland
Information gained from this exercise will be made available via the Hub website
We are also planning a series of research seminars which are intended to be of interest to a wide audience. If AHP colleagues would like to contribute to the seminar series, then please contact us on cahprses@qmu.ac.uk .
The Council for Allied Health Professionals Research (CAHPR) is a national research network of research being conducted by allied health professionals, supported by the professional bodies of all AHPs. The South East Scotland Research Hub is led by Judith Lane in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.
This research database is collecting information about the number and nature of research projects in the south east region of Scotland. This is not limited to funded projects but may also include projects you are working up or working on un-funded. It can also include your areas of interest for future projects.
