I joined the QMU Initial Teacher Education (ITE) team in April 2022. I have extensive and varied teaching experience at Secondary and Primary levels across the UK and internationally as well as having worked in both Widening Participation and School Liaison roles within Higher Education in the UK.
During my school teaching career I have taught French and Spanish in Secondary schools in England, Wales and Scotland in both class teacher and head of department roles. I taught French at Primary and Secondary levels at an International school in Vietnam and then, following completion of a Masters in Gastronomy at QMU, I gained GTCS Professional Registration for teaching Home Economics (Cookery and Health and Wellbeing).
I have a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary academic background having studied French and Modern France (BA), Secondary Education (PGCE) and then completed a Masters in food studies (MSc).
