Lynne Bremner (MEd, BSc Hons) is a Lecturer and the Programme Leader of BSc/MSLT Speech and Language Therapy in the Speech and Hearing Sciences Division.

I became a Speech and Language Therapist in 1996, working with both adults and children. After a brief spell working in New Zealand, I returned to a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist post Edinburgh. I worked with children with complex communication disorders in the areas of diagnosis and intervention, in both clinical and education settings. In 2005, I joined QMU as a research clinician working on projects in the area of communication between Allied Health Professional and and Education. In 2007 I became a lecturer in Speech and Hearing Sciences. My teaching interests are mainly in the area of social communication disorders and general principles of Speech and Language Therapy practice. I continue to be a practicing clinician in the NHS specializing in the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorders and related social communication disorders.

My research interests include diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and social communication disorder.
Active Research Interests:
- Currently studying for PhD focused on Measuring ASD symptomatology in pre-school children in early years settings.
My primary teaching areas are general principles of Speech and Language Therapy practice, social communication disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder.
