Martin Craig (MA Arts, Festivals and Cultural Management) is a co-founder of the Sculpture Placement Group which aspires to become the main experts and consultants on sculptural practice and production in Scotland.
"I wouldn't say I was ever inspired to be entrepreneurial, I think I had to be entrepreneurial to make my inspirations come to life. I love all forms of culture; art, music, theatre, film and they have inspired me to create and develop projects, but it's being entrepreneurial that's make them become a reality"
Their mission is to prolong the life-span of sculptures, bring sculptural joy into people's lives and offer economic/practical solutions for artists. Sculpture Placement Group do this by conducting active research into new ways of working. One such model they have successfully launched is the Sculpture Adoption Scheme.
