Hong Kong

We welcome applications from Hong Kong students with good HKDSE results (minimum grades 333).

Some courses will require you to have studied specific subjects and/or achieved higher grades within your HKDSE. Please refer to the individual course page for further details if not listed below.

Admission to our undergraduate programmes can be made by those holding a relevant diploma or other recognised qualification such as GCE A Levels, International Baccalaureate, American High School Diploma with SAT’s or AP’s or other recognised qualification.

Language Requirements for Holders of HKDSE:

Typically achieve 3 overall in core English and 3 or above in each component to be exempt from IELTS. (Some courses have higher English language requirements).

BA (Hons) Costume Design & Construction:

Plus one Performing Art subject:

To note a portfolio will be required as part of the application process.

MDRad Diagnostic Radiography:

333 to include one of:

• Biology
• Chemistry
• Physics

Plus English and Maths at Level 2 or above.

MDiet Dietetics:

333 to include Chemistry, Biology and one other science.

Plus English and Maths at Level 2 or above.

BA (Hons) Drama:

443 to include English and Drama.

Plus Maths at Level 2 or above.

BA (Hons) Education Studies:

333

English and Maths at Level 2 or above.

BA (Hons) Education Studies (Primary):

443 to include English (Must pass at level 4).

Plus Maths at Level 2 or above.

Please note international students are not eligible for the Teacher Induction Scheme (1 year placement) upon graduation.

MOccTh Occupational Therapy:

BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science:

MPhysio Physiotherapy:

Please note that the above is given for guidance only and that entry requirements will vary between courses. We may also be looking for a strong Statement of Purpose/Personal Statement, some work experience or specific subjects to have been studied at an advanced level.

How to Apply

We will consider applications from students holding a good bachelors degree from a recognised university.

Where your honours degree has not been studied in English, you will be required to provide evidence of English language competence. (Requirements may be subject to change in line with developments to UK Visas & Immigration policy).

How To Apply

QMU International Scholarship:

The University is pleased to offer a number of competitive scholarships of up to £3,000 each for new international students undertaking their first year of study on an undergraduate or postgraduate degree. The scholarship is granted as a reduction of the tuition fee and is available to students who are self-funding with an international tuition fee of more than £9,000 for a single year of study only. Applications can be made by students who have received an offer of a place of study at the University.

Scotland's Saltire Scholarships:

Under Scotland's Saltire Scholarship scheme, 50 awards worth £8000 each are available for one year of study on a Masters course to students from Canada, China (including Hong Kong), India, Japan, Pakistan and the USA.

This is part of the Scottish Government's continuing support for the 'brightest and best' students to come and study in Scotland in partnerships with Scottish Universities.
